Ready is a 2011 Indian Hindi-language action comedy film directed by Anees Bazmee and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Nitin Manmohan, Sohail Khan and Rajat Rawail.[3] An official remake of the eponymous 2008 Telugu film, it stars Salman Khan, also the narrator, and Asin Thottumkal in the lead roles,[4][5] with Paresh Rawal, Mahesh Manjrekar, Arya Babbar, Sharat Saxena, Nikitin Dheer, Manoj Joshi, Manoj Pahwa among others playing supporting roles. Ajay Devgn, Zareen Khan, Sanjay Dutt, Arbaaz Khan, Chunky Pandey and Kangana Ranaut make cameo appearances in the film.


Principal photography of Ready began on 20 June 2010 at Colombo,[6] and it was also filmed in Mumbai and Bangkok.[7][8] The first look poster was unveiled on 5 April 2011,[9] and the official trailer premiered on 15 April 2011. Made on an approximate budget of ₹30 crore, Ready opened with a positive response on 3 June 2011,[2] and it went on to gross ₹180 crore worldwide,[10] becoming one of the highest-grossing Indian films. The domestic nett of the film at ₹120 crore made it the second highest-grossing Bollywood film of 2011 in India,[11] and Asin's highest-grossing release ever
