7aum Arivu is a Indian Malayalam science fiction thriller film written and directed by A. R. Murugadoss, featuring Suriya, Shruti Haasan in her Tamil debut and Johnny Tri Nguyen as the main antagonist. The film, produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin began production in May 2010; it was released(Tamil)on 25 October 2011 in Chennai and a day later, on Diwali, worldwide. The visual effects for the film were done by US based Legacy effects, making this their second Indian film after Enthiran.7aum Arivu received mixed critical response upon release, it however opened well at the box office.It was also dubbed into Telugu as 7th Sense which released simultaneously along with the Tamil original. The film was also one out of several films selected by the South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce as the Indian submission for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film,The movie ran 100 days and was a blockbuster hit and one of the highest grosser movie.

suriya : Saravanan Sivakumar, known by his stage name Suriya, is an Indian film actor, producer and television presenter, best known for his work in Tamil cinema.[2] After making his debut in Nerukku Ner (1997), Suriya landed his breakthrough role in Nandha (2001) and then had his first commercial success with the thriller Kaakha Kaakha (2003). Following award-winning performances of a conman in Pithamagan (2003) and a hunchback in Perazhagan (2004), Suriya played a patient suffering from anterograde amnesia in the 2005 blockbuster Ghajini, dual roles of a father and son in Gautham Menon's semi-autobiographical Vaaranam Aayiram (2008), a smuggler in Ayan (2009) and an aggressive cop in the Singam trilogy (Singam, Singam II and S3). Suriya has also found success with science fiction films like 7aum Arivu (2011) and 24 (2016). As of 2010,[3] he has won three Tamil Nadu State Film Awards and three Filmfare Awards South. In 2013, Suriya founded the production house 2D Entertainment.

Suriya is the eldest son of Tamil film actor Sivakumar and his younger brother Karthi is also an actor. Suriya married co-star Jyothika in 2006, after being engaged for several years. In 2008, he began Agaram Foundation, which funds for various philanthropic activities. The year 2012 marked his debut as a television presenter with the Star Vijay game show Neengalum Vellalam Oru Kodi, the Tamil version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?.

Shruti Haasan (born 28 January 1986)[3] is an Indian film actress and singer who works predominantly in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi language films. Born to the prominent Haasan family, she is the daughter of actor Kamal Haasan and Sarika Thakur. Through her successful career, she has received three Filmfare Awards and has established herself as one of the leading actresses of South Indian cinema.[4]

As a child artist, she sang in films and appeared in a guest role in her father's Hey Ram (2000), before making her adult acting debut in the unsuccessful 2009 Bollywood film , the drama thriller film Luck. She later went on to win critical acclaim for her role in the Walt Disney fantasy film in Telugu, Anaganaga O Dheerudu (2011), Oh My Friend (2011) and her Tamil debut 7aum Arivu (2011). In a recent poll conducted by the Chennai Times, Haasan topped the list of most desirable women.[5] Alongside appearing in Tamil and Telugu films, she has also appeared in several commercially successful Hindi films, including Ramaiya Vastavaiya (2013) and Gabbar Is Back (2015)

In addition to acting, Haasan has also continued her stint in music through work as a singer in Indian languages and has become an established playback singer in India. For her songs, she has received Filmfare Award for Best Female Playback Singer – Tamil and the Filmfare Award for Best Female Playback Singer – Telugu nominations for the songs "Kannazhaga Kaalazhaga" from the film 3 (2012), "Yeandi Yeandi" from the film Puli (2015) and "Junction Lo" from the film Aagadu (2014). She began her career as a music director with her father's production Unnaipol Oruvan and her own music band and album.
