Disney+ and Disney Junior have announced the release date for Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures Season 2, making the audience return to the existing story about Kai Brightstar and his companions. New season 2 is set to release on August 14, 2024, so there will be more missions to follow, and more teachings on the ways of the force for the young Jedi hopefuls.
The show has found success with its target children audience as well as fans of Star Wars. The first season, which wrapped up in February, delved into the nascent days of the Jedi and the problems they encountered from the likes of the Nihil and the Drengir. The next installment looks to pick things up from there, as the younglings fight their way through the galaxy to meet the next challenge.
The announcement was made during Disney's presentation at the Annecy Animation Festival, and with the news also came a first look at new key art for the season. The piece features Lys Solay, Kai Brightstar, and Nubs on a walk outside the Jedi Temple on Tenoo, prepping what lies ahead in the exciting zines.
In the second season, the new batch of younglings will go even further to prove they have what it takes to be a Jedi as they face off against the dark side. Additionally, the series will bring fresh faces such as Master Zia's padawan learner, Wes Vinik, and his astromech R0-M1, a brilliant, resourceful, and secretive droid who will help guide the younglings on their travels.
You can always look forward to new shorts and digital series, and fans of the show can watch for more content online, including the current Fun with Nubs digital series available on StarWarsKids now. In this season, the young Jedi will continue to fight against the Dark Side while also growing as characters, learning the importance of kindness, responsibility, and acceptance of change.
With the filming date set, fans can mark the calendar and wait for August 14, 2024 and get ready to venture back into the adventures of Kai Brightstar and company.
