The popular web novel How Dare You (Cheng He Ti Tong) is officially set for a live-action adaptation, and there is been an ongoing talk about lead roles for the C-drama. Currently, the rumored names Cheng Lei and Wang Chu Ran are in discussions to star with both actors having a good time recently.
Wang Chu Ran, in particular, is on a roll this year. Despite last year’s flop with Fireworks of My Heart and some personal controversies, she bounced back in 2023 with her well-received role in Are You the One. Her performance has landed her on casting lists for some potential lead roles, including How Dare You.
Cheng Lei, meanwhile, is also having a standout year. He just appeared in a small cameo in the currently airing Fangs of Fortune, and his highly anticipated drama Legend of the Female General with Zhou Ye is being set as one of Tencent’s major releases for early 2025. Whatever, I am looking forward to see who is going to be confirmed and will be happy if these rumors come true.
